The character Rajinikanth plays in the film is that of an anti-hero who attains mystical powers. Rajinikanth is already dangerous enough without such powers, and now he becomes almost invincible. As such, losing at a game of volleyball would be a definite “no-no” in Rajinikanth’s books, as he starts his winning streak by getting rid of the players on the opposing team instead, by using that very same volleyball against them in a way which would embarrass them for years to come. Final score: Rajini 1 – Volleyball 0.
